Psychological tests are sometimes used by referring physicians to help determine whether medications are indicated or useful in your treatment. Other times they are required by employers or useful in understanding and obtaining needed services for academic performance problems. Insurance companies typically require pre-authorization for testing services, which may be filed under three procedure codes (96101, 96102, or 96103). Thorough screening by a physician is necessary to identify any possible underlying medical conditions. Please call Dr. Whiteside for additional information if you seek or have been referred for psychological testing.
