SCHEDULING AND GETTING STARTED
Information for New Clients
Dr. Whiteside is accepting new clients at this time. Appointments for new clients are scheduled for approximately sixty minutes during the mid-morning or early afternoon and are typically within two to three weeks of your call. Because I do not have a full-time receptionist, it can be difficult for you to reach me when you call. If you reach my voice mail please leave some information such as:
- The service you seek (e.g. individual, couple’s, or family therapy, or psychological testing)
- Whether you need a provider who participates in your insurance plan (if so, specify plan)
- Who referred you
- Who will attend the first appointment; if a child will be the client, give his or her age
- Suggest days and times of days that will be best for you to meet on a regular basis
- Be sure to leave your name (spelling it is helpful), phone numbers, good times for me to return your call.
After talking with me or my assistant and scheduling your first appointment please review the Forms & Policies to read policies and complete face sheet and insurance information. You may print these and complete them by hand or fill them online and print them to bring to your first appointment. If you prefer, you can arrive a few minutes early and complete them in my waiting room. Be sure to obtain pre-authorization if required.
Dr. Whiteside routinely sees clients Monday through Friday, with the first appointment available at 9 a.m. and the last at 4 p.m., though he begins at 8 a.m. on Fridays and ends at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. From noon to 2 p.m. is not available for appointments except by special arrangement. Weekend times may be available for special evaluation procedures that require the scheduling of blocks of several hours duration. Court appearances and depositions must be scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance and require advance payment and completion of a special contract.

Scheduling Information for Current Clients
After your first appointment with me you may schedule appointments via phone, voice mail, e-mail, text messaging, or online scheduling. To use Online Scheduling, go to my web site home page (www.ReidWhiteside.com) and click “Schedule Online!” on the left vertical margin (or here on this page). The link will take you first to my online Google calendar that shows my availability. After you locate convenient dates and times click on “Continue to Form,” where you can fill in the minimally necessary information to cancel, change or make appointments. Then, click “Submit.”
The scheduling service was created by my administrative & technology manager, Brodie, who will receive and respond to your requests. Brodie and I check for Online Scheduling messages frequently and reply on the same business day. You may also send requests for appointments via Text Messages to my cell phone. Be sure to identify yourself as well as specifying several options for scheduling appointments. In the coming year I anticipate having all my available hours scheduled two to three weeks in advance so I strongly encourage you to set a recurring appointment to avoid unplanned gaps in your counseling, even if we meet only bi-monthly or monthly.
